On November 14th, I finally learned how to peel an egg properly after forty years of doing it wrong. Despite my attempts to acquire this skill over time, my husband, tired of my failed technique, decided to guide me through the process. In the simplest terms, he said, "When peeling the egg, you need to peel off the thin membrane, and then it comes off easily". Just like that, following the instructions to the letter, with my hands shaking in fear of another failure, I gave it a shot. It was fascinating to witness that membrane lifting effortlessly. This was a perfect example of the proverb, "Skill is better than strength". I succeeded in peeling the egg so perfectly that I felt sorry to chop it into small, tiny pieces.
